Management of multiple risks for extreme events in fast growing (mega)cities of Myanmar
The MYrisk project focuses on disaster risk reduction in Yangon, Myanmar, targeting earthquake, cyclone, and flood preparedness. After initial research and risk assessment phases, the project focus is now on enhancing institutional disaster preparedness, public awareness, and private service resilience.
Risklayer's subsidiary, Hotel Resilient, is contracted to develop evacuation assessments and scenarios for public buildings as part of the MYrisk project in close collaboration with the City of Cologne Fire Department.
The current phase also adapts strategies for post-disaster reconstruction amidst the pandemic, aiming for robust infrastructure recovery.
